The English Sofa Company Blog first appeared online in August 2005, but the excellent new website you see today was revamped in October 2009. The English Sofa Company has been providing quality upholstery from our factory in Manchester for over 50 years, but as our styles have changed over those times so have the way we promote and offer our sofas.
The English Sofa Company is one of only a few true English Sofa Manufacturers. Based in Manchester our factory, workshop and showroom is the hub of our business and production and home to our growing manufacturing and sales team.
Manufacturing in the UK is only part of our success. Investing in young people is also at the core of our business. From our apprenticeship scheme and youth employment initiatives to our graduate development programs, we train our team to become the best they can.
Operating from a newly extended factory in Manchester, the English Sofa Company now has a fully refurbished showroom we are able to display a wide range of leather and fabric sofas. Our furniture display does change every 3 months, so please do visit regularly to see the complete range.

As upholstery manufacturers we are always looking to introduce new designs and styles, our latest and most significant development is our stunning range of upholstered beds. We have a small range of beds and mattresses on display and as with our sofas each can be upholstered in just about any fabric.
